SAH Inks Agreement to Distribute VisionTree® Software Throughout Middle East Region and the EU

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – 16th May 2016 Proton Therapy Pioneers SAH Global announced today at Saudi Health 2016, that they have signed a Collaboration and Exclusive Distribution Agreement with VisionTree® Software that will vastly improve patient care and physician decision making in Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA Region as well as throughout the EU. SAH Global is now the exclusive regional distributor of the innovative VisionTree® Optimal Care (VTOC) platform that improves healthcare quality and patient outcomes, physician decision making and operational efficiency.

The innovative VTOC cloud-based solution gives providers more time to focus on patient care and the data they need to make better healthcare decisions. The solution records patient information electronically from the point of initial patient intake, creating a paperless workflow for the healthcare organization and capturing critical data points. This creates an information source that enhances clinical decision making, and improves patient care, thereby leading to more positive patient outcomes.  VTOC is used at more than 600 healthcare sites in 12 countries around the world with 2.5 million patient users.  Additionally, VTOC is used by 8 of the 10 leading hospitals, as ranked by U.S. News & World Report.

This agreement is the newest initiative by SAH Global to revolutionize healthcare in the MENA and EU regions. The company is already leading the effort to bring vital cancer treatment solutions to the Middle East with a network of Proton Therapy Cancer Treatment Centers and Molecular Imaging Centers.

“It is important for us to provide innovative and valuable solutions to our customers, and deliver a comprehensive approach to patient-centered care,” said Feroz Agad, Chairman of SAH Global. “VisionTree® complements our vision of a comprehensive ecosystem to improve patient care in the region. The combination of SAH Global products and the VTOC platform means users will have the ability to connect disparate clinical systems and multiple centers to collect and report patient outcomes information at any time and from virtually anywhere.”

“VisionTree is a pioneer in patient portal technology, as documented through numerous peer-reviewed studies,” said Faique Sayeed, COO of SAH Global. “The paperless, data-driven approach to managing a patient’s treatment pathway is one more cutting-edge solution in the SAH Global arsenal of products that improve patient care.”

The Technology Behind VTOC Success

VisionTree’s VTOC v4.1 platform uses a patient portal –mobile accessible– that includes patient reported outcomes and a robust, clinical and multi-center research and registry solution for physicians. It provides a library of over 200 electronic Patient Reported Outcome Measures (ePROMs) assessments for most medical conditions. Together with a suite of Web service APIs, this system delivers patient-centered outcomes and data collection solutions to any clinical or research environment.

The VTOC platform operates on rapid software interfaces that give physicians fast access to the rich data and information necessary to high quality patient treatment decisions. It also improves patient safety by reducing the time it takes for physicians to access evidence-based research that is crucial for positive patient outcomes.

The VTOC system delivers interoperability via HL7 and Web service interfaces which means it can be integrated with most existing hospital systems reducing time and implementation cost for hospitals. The system also utilizes a suite of Web service APIs to deliver patient-centered outcomes and data collection solutions in any clinical or research environment

“By starting at the point of initial patient intake with electronic patient reported forms, the VTOC platform helps sites deliver a completely paperless workflow and capture critical data points for quality healthcare decisions and operational efficiency,” said Martin Pellinat, CEO of VisionTree Software. “Distribution of the VTOC platform by SAH Global throughout the GCC, MENA and Europe will allow physicians and staff real-time access and reporting of relevant data and alerts in their clinic and mobile environment, as well as provide the opportunity for global benchmarking and population health data management.”

Adding VTOC to its product suite enables SAH Global’s customers to collect and report patient and clinician outcomes data, including dosimetric data, for longitudinal outcomes on a patient and aggregate level for clinical, research and registry purposes, as well as market leading cancer survivorship programs.
